Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and a trusted advisor to both the Chief Executive Officer and the Board. This role provides strategic financial leadership and oversight of the Financial and Strategy Division, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and long-term value creation.
The CFO is responsible for leading and integrating a range of critical corporate functions, including:
Enterprise Strategy & Planning
Corporate Governance & Board Secretariat
Financial Control
Finance Partnering & Enterprise Performance
Finance, Treasury & Capital Management
Procurement
Legal Services
Key Accountabilities
To succeed in this role, you will be able to:
Ensure the Group’s financial sustainability while supporting growth, value creation, and price stability.
Maintain compliance with economic regulatory frameworks.
Drive the organisation’s strategy development and corporate planning processes.
Provide financial stewardship through accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
Lead the Legal, Governance and Secretariat functions.
Oversee procurement and supply chain transformation.
Guide internal audit and assurance programs.
Offer strategic economic and regulatory advice to enable informed decision-making.
Strategic Leadership Responsibilities
The CFO will provide direction and leadership across the following areas:
Stewardship of financial strategy, capital structure, and funding to maximise shareholder and stakeholder value.
Overall accountability for financial reporting, controls, and compliance across the Group.
Oversight of business performance systems, including the development and reporting of key performance indicators.
Risk and compliance leadership—ensuring robust frameworks support both existing operations and new initiatives.
Implementation of financial risk management strategies to strengthen the Group’s risk profile.
Development and communication of corporate planning frameworks aligned to long-term strategy.
Oversight of procurement strategy and supply chain functions.
Executive leadership of Legal Services, Corporate Governance, and Secretariat functions.
With strong commercial acumen, the CFO will influence across the business and build trusted relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned with the broader enterprise strategy.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an accomplished senior finance executive with a proven track record in complex, asset-intensive, and highly regulated environments. Ideal candidates will have experience in executive leadership roles within government, shared ownership, or similarly structured organisations.
You will be a values-led leader with deep commercial insight, capable of building strong relationships with the Board, CEO, and Executive Team. Your leadership style will be collaborative, forward-thinking, and grounded in accountability, regulatory integrity, and high performance.
The successful candidate will also be expected to lead and embed recent organisational changes, elevating a refreshed leadership team from early formation to a high-performing and delivery-focused unit. A strong commitment to succession planning, capability uplift, and continuous improvement will underpin your approach.
