Luminary are partnering with Green Life in the search for a Chief Financial Officer

Role Purpose
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, accountable for leading the organisation’s financial operations while serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership team. This role requires a finance leader who can seamlessly balance the demands of day-to-day financial management with forward-looking strategic planning.
As the business transitions from a start-up to a high-growth enterprise, the CFO will be responsible for building robust financial infrastructure, ensuring disciplined cashflow management, driving funding and capital initiatives, and providing actionable insights that enable sustainable growth. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, delivering both operational excellence and strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the CFO to perform core financial functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit preparation.
Maintain timely, accurate financial reporting to support agile business decisions.
Implement scalable systems, processes, and internal controls appropriate for a growing and regulated business environment.
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and governance requirements.

Partner with the CEO and Executive Management to shape and execute the organisation’s financial strategy.
Lead capital planning, investor relations, and debt/equity structuring.
Provide financial forecasts, modelling, and scenario planning to inform expansion and growth initiatives.
Develop and maintain financial performance frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs to translate results into clear, actionable insights.
Strengthen financial governance, risk management, and compliance across the organisation.
Support strategic opportunities such as new market entry.

Accurate and timely financial reporting that enhances executive decision-making.
Effective capital management and strong funding pipelines to support growth.
Scalable financial systems and processes embedded across the organisation.
Disciplined governance and compliance frameworks aligned with growth objectives.
A finance function that supports both operational execution and strategic ambition.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience

CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent).
Demonstrated success in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a start-up or high-growth business.
Strong technical accounting capability coupled with hands-on operational finance experience.
Proven track record in investor relations, and/or managing complex capital structures.
Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Commercially astute, with the ability to connect financial performance to business strategy.

Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated environment is advantageous.
Familiarity with governance frameworks and compliance obligations in scaling organisations.

Proactive and initiative-driven, with the ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment.
Hands-on and adaptable, with a willingness to be directly involved in day-to-day activities while building capability for scale.
Strategic in outlook, with strong problem-solving skills and commercial judgement.
Resilient, accountable, and highly ethical in approach.
Strong communicator, able to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders.
