Lead. Deliver. Impact.
Be part of something bigger at QPS.

Overview
The vision of the Queensland Police Service is to help make Queensland a safe and secure place to live, visit and do business, with a mission to deliver high quality, innovative, progressive and responsive policing services.
QPS Profile
The QPS is responsible for the development of strategies and the delivery of services relating to law enforcement and community policing initiatives across the State of Queensland.
The Service employs more than 19,000 full-time professionals along with casual officer and volunteer groups dedicated to QPS’s mission.
Our key organisational challenges include:
maintaining the safety and security of people in Queensland;
demographic changes, rising demands for service, limited police numbers and higher labour costs;
increase in the environmental and financial cost of natural resources;
alcohol-related antisocial behaviour and violence;
the number of victims of domestic violence;
globalisation, and increased use and accessibility of technology, which are facilitating serious and organised crime;
increase in the use of the Queensland road network, which brings the risk of more road crashes;
the levels of complaints and community confidence in, and perceptions of, police;
continued over-representation of vulnerable persons in the criminal justice system;
an increase in the severity and consequential aspects of natural disasters; and
planned and desirable major projects and known funding constraints.
Our Workplace
The Queensland Police Service is committed to building inclusive cultures that respect and promote human rights, diversity, and inclusion.
We provide equal opportunities for everyone in our organisation, irrespective of gender, culture, generation, sexual orientation, or disability. We promote a respectful workplace culture that is free from all forms of harassment, workplace bullying, discrimination, and violence. We embrace the benefits of supporting and retaining a mobile, flexible, and agile workforce.
