Your Purpose
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and developing a vision and executable plan to be the most competitive and respected developer of unconventional gas value chains in Australia within the business areas of: government relations; indigenous affairs; external stakeholders; communications; land access; and State & Federal regulatory approvals
Position key accountabilities
As the Vice President, External Affairs, you will be responsible for:
Contributing to the strategy, safety performance, delivery of competitive business outcomes, and building and protecting the Companies reputation as a trusted, respected and valued operator from the perspective of community, government and our people.
Land, Approvals & Groundwater, Government Relations and Tenure and Reputation Functions:
Align strategies within each function that complements the delivery of Arrow’s overall business strategy.
Embrace standardisation and simplification by developing fit for purpose processes, policies and procedures whilst maintaining rigour and probity to remain cost competitiveness and compliant.
Instil a culture of compliance and continuous improvement that contributes to building the organisations reputation.
Champion performance management anchored on delivering business outcomes.
Developing strategies to obtain and manage Arrow’s tenure and regulatory approvals that underpin project development and maintain delivery value options for Arrow across development assets.
Developing and leading the sustainability strategy, which includes environmental and social governance issues that support the safe and responsible execution of the Surat Gas Project
Ensuring the strategic management of stakeholder relationships and risks. This includes developing the organisations ability to respond to emerging risks and public expectations in a rapidly changing external environment
Acting as an active external representative for Arrow, including negotiation of gas industry regulatory policy at the highest levels of Federal and State governments.
Developing and implementing key organisational policies including Sustainability and Social Performance framework, Social Impact Management Plans, Community Engagement Plans, Reconciliation Action Plan and Government Protocol.

Demonstrate pro-active visible safety leadership that exemplifies a positive attitude towards HSE and role models safe behaviours.
Ensure compliance within your teams towards Arrow’s HSE systems and processes, including but not limited to, Arrow’s Life Saving and Land Access Rules.
Implement safety, health and environmental initiatives that minimises risks/hazards and assures compliance.
You have a duty to stop any unsafe work that you become aware of and/or speak up where you have a concern.
Qualifications, Experience and Impact

Qualifications: University degree [OR] First degree [OR] Other Professional Qualification
General experience: More than 20 years

Energy or resources specific experience. Executive level experience in complex stakeholder and issues management and resolution, including in regional communities, media, and multiple levels of government.
Extensive experience with Federal and Queensland regulatory frameworks (approvals and compliance) for tenures, access, cultural heritage, native title, regional planning, environment and health and safety.
Proven experience in the resource or infrastructure sectors with emphasis on Land Access and Approvals.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing corporate strategies for interaction with key stakeholders.
Demonstrated capability at an executive level in leading and building high performing multi-disciplinary teams at a senior level

Experience with executive levels of relevant Queensland State government departments and an understanding of the Queensland legislative process
