South Bank Corporation operates under the South Bank Corporation Act 1989. Our responsibilities are as follows:

  • Promote, facilitate, carry out and control the development, disposal and management of land and other property within the Corporation area;

  • Achieve an appropriate balance between the Corporation's commercial and non-commercial functions;

  • Ensure the Corporation area complements, rather than duplicates, other public use sites in the inner city Brisbane area;

  • Provide for a diverse range of recreational, cultural and educational pursuits for local, regional and international visitors;

Events Delivery Co-ordinator

Download Position Description

As an Events Delivery Co-ordinator at South Bank Corporation, this position will support the Events Delivery Manager and Senior Event Planners in the operational coordination, logistics, and on-ground execution of a diverse range of events within the parklands. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic outdoor environment.

As part of the Destination, Experience and Engagement team, this role focuses on the practical delivery of events ensuring a high level of customer service and compliance.  The Events Delivery Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring all events are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the Corporation’s policies, procedures and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities / Activities

  • Support the Events Delivery Manager and Senior Event Planners in the delivery of events from planning through to execution and debrief.

  • Coordinate event logistics including site planning, infrastructure delivery, supplier engagements, and operational scheduling.

  • Assist with the preparation of event delivery documentation including event run sheets, site plans, risk assessments, and supplier briefings.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as security, cleaning, facilities, and maintenance teams to ensure site readiness and operational support.

  • act as an on-site representative for South Bank Corporation during bump in, event live, and bump out, ensuring activities are conducted safety and efficiently and comply with the Corporation’s operational standards.

  • Raise and manage purchase orders in line with the Corporation’s Financial Management Plan and Procurement Policy.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external partners to ensure collaboration and seamless execution of events.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date event documentation, databases and records ensuring compliance with Corporation standards.  

  • Contribute to post-event evaluations by gathering operational feedback and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and visitor experience.

  • Undertake administrative tasks including minute-taking, correspondence, and updating.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.

  • Proven experience in event planning and execution (indoor and outdoor events from small to large scale).

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Creatively driven and resourceful with a demonstrated passion for events.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, event logistics and risk mitigation processes.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work and learn as a team member in a fast paced and frequently changing environment.

  • Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
