
Executive General Manager

Your Role
The Executive General Manager (EGM) of Digital Technology and Information is responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and implementation of the Seqwater’s digital, technology, and information systems. This role ensures Seqwater leverages technology to improve business processes, drive innovation, and deliver superior customer experiences. The EGM will work closely with senior management and various departments to align technology initiatives with business goals.
With a focus on creating value, you will ensure performance requirements are met and delivered safely on time and within budget. As the EGM you will also ensure appropriate governance, assurance, compliance, and resourcing to enable the effective management of business-related risk and ensure compliance with all obligations.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team you will also play a critical role in collectively leading Seqwater’s culture change and driving excellence in leadership, compliance, performance, safety and customer experience.
Key responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the Digital Technology and Information strategy ensuring that Seqwater is well positioned both now and in the future, ensuring high performing ‘fit for purpose’ technology solutions, security and practice.
Effectively lead the Digital, Technology and Information Group driving a highperformance culture delivering improved outcomes in safety, health, wellbeing, and customer experience.
Oversee Seqwater’s digital portfolio in the delivery of new technology innovations whilst mitigating disruption risks and continuity of services.
Lead Seqwater’s cyber security monitoring and incident response capability whilst providing uplift to organisational awareness and controls for Seqwater’s Information Assets.
Ensure Digital Technology and Information has a proactive approach to servicing the needs of the business and customers, delivering DTI services where and when most needed for the benefit of Seqwater.
Focus on driving value through optimisation of our systems and smart use of our assets through continuous measurement and improvement principles.
Carry out other duties as directed by the Chief Executive Officer as required.

Observe and comply with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures.
As a member of the Executive team this role contributes to the leadership of Seqwater and is required to:
− Collaborate with other Executive team members in the development and implementation of the Corporate strategy and plan
− Monitor and manage enterprise risks, and ensure compliance to statutory commitments
− Provide the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board with timely and accurate updates and reporting.
Qualifications and experience
Essentials
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related discipline
Deep and demonstrated experience delivering organisational technology and data transformation programs by taking a whole system end-to-end approach ensuring all systems are fit for purpose and architected appropriately to deliver on the corporate strategy.
Demonstrated experience leading and balancing risk management practices, ensuring that risks and threats to the organisational technology environment are anticipated, responded to, and managed effectively.
Demonstrated experience in providing business solutions and strategic advice addressing complex business issues and innovative technology solutions.
Extensive experience in leading large multi-disciplinary teams with demonstrated commitment to improving technology, digital and information security, systems, processes and associated services.
Demonstrated strategic vision and agility with strong commercial acumen and success in delivery and execution.
