About the Role
General Manager, Employee Experience
Reporting to the Chief People and Strategy Officer, participating in the CPSO Leadership Team, the General Manager Employee Experience is a critical role that enables our vision to be the best workers' compensation insurer and make a positive difference to people's lives. This is a key role to enable and support WorkCover delivery on its aspirations and strategic roadmap of project and transformation.
Specifically, the role is responsible for leading the CPSO Group to enable the delivery of industry-leading best practice and to drive influence and sector leadership through:
Designing and delivering future-focused strategies for leadership, talent, capability, and culture.
Bringing workforce insights and trends into enterprise planning to meet evolving business needs.
Translating Employee Experience into practical frameworks that support organisational transformation.
Embedding inclusive, human-centred practices that strengthen engagement and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies focused on leadership, talent, and organisational culture.
Drive innovation in people practices, positioning the organisation as an adaptive, future-ready employer.
Lead the development of contemporary frameworks for learning, development, capability, and workforce planning.
Collaborate with senior executives to align employee experience initiatives with strategic business objectives.
Leverage workforce insights and external trends to anticipate emerging needs and craft proactive solutions.
Ensure inclusive practices and psychological safety are embedded across leadership and organisational programs.
Guide the design and evaluation of initiatives that foster employee engagement, purpose, and wellbeing.
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or similar discipline with post graduate qualifications highly regarded.
A minimum of 10 years in senior HR leadership experience with a strong focus on organisational culture, engagement, talent and leadership development.
Demonstrated success in transforming organisational culture during a period of rapid change.
