Outsourced HR for SME’s
The Brief:
A medium sized professional services firm recognised the need to enhance its human resources function, better support its people and improve their employee experience. In response to this, they engaged Luminary for 12 months, to provide specialist HR advice, support and assistance. The aim of the engagement was to bring a fresh perspective and another level of expertise to their HR function and to elevate their internal HR capability.
The Solution:
Our approach for this engagement, has been to focus on both strategic and operational initiatives, that would drive meaningful change across the organisation.
One of the key deliverables to support this, is the launch of an engagement survey to gauge employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement. The insights gathered will enable us to work with the organisation’s leadership team to develop targeted actions plans, aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
Recognising the need for a more dynamic approach to building performance and capability, we are also reviewing and refreshing their performance review framework. The new framework emphasises ongoing and continuous feedback, clear goal setting and developmental opportunities, aligned to the organisation’s strategic goals and employee growth aspirations.
We are conducting a thorough review of the organisation’s HR policies and employment contracts to ensure they are up to date and compliant with current legislation, but also incorporate flexibility to support a diverse and evolving workforce.
Lastly, throughout the engagement, we are providing ongoing support and advice, which includes guidance on complex HR issues, sourcing, attraction and recruitment support and advice on employee matters.
The Result:
Whilst the engagement is ongoing, significant progress has already been made towards achieving the key deliverables, with notable improvements already observed. Preliminary feedback from the engagement survey follow-up discussions, have highlighted improvements in employee morale, attributed to the proactive steps the organisation is taking to address employee feedback and make tangible changes.
